The two kinds of measures that go into preparing for an important occasion are mental preparation and physical preparation. Both kinds of preparations are important as the two go hand in hand. For example, being mentally prepared will be aided by looking good as you will gain confidence and feel good about yourself and being physically prepared will be aided by thinking that you look your best.
Make a list
Before an occasion such as your wedding, it is only normal that you want to look your best however on the day of the wedding you might have so many things to do that you might forget to do certain things therefore it would be wise to make a list. Having a list will help you remember what needs to be done and therefore this way you will be sure not to forget anything. Although there may be many things to do before you walk down the aisle, you should make sure that you are not stressed out on your wedding day. Instead you should let your wedding party handle everything for you and you should just focus on relaxing and enjoying yourself.
Take over
Especially when you are getting dressed, you should not let anyone take over and make the decisions for you. If you want to wear your hair a certain way then you should not let anyone convince you not to do it. The hair dresser or even your future mother in law might want to interfere with your fashion choices therefore it is important that you do not let them. For example, if they are not happy with your complexion they may suggest you get a spray tan a few days before your wedding, however if you are happy with your complexion then you should not let them convince you to do it.
Remain calm
It is normal to get cold feet and panic before you get married however, if this happens it is important that you try and remain calm. In order for you to remain calm it is essential that you are surrounded by positive people who will encourage and support you instead of being surrounded by people who will add to your panicked state.
Thanking the guests
After the wedding is over, you should make sure that you have something for the guest to take back home as this would indicate your graciousness for their attendance at your wedding. You can also consider giving the guests thank you cards which would moist likely be viewed by the guests as a kind gesture on your part.
